Jenn Michaelis

reactivity, cooperative care, tricks, freestyle, rally-free, nosework, puppy raising, AGILITY, play mediation

BA, CPDT-KA, RFE-CI

Jenn teaches humans to raise socially-savvy puppies, heal their anxious or reactive dogs, and to compete successfully in canine musical freestyle. With over 25 years of experience training dogs from Montana, to New York and Oregon, she is well-known for her engaging teaching style. She believes in using compassion and common sense to empower people so they can teach and train their dogs using fear-free and force-free methods.

She’s had the honor of sharing her household with an eclectic pack of sweet and devoted dogs: Pomeranian, Lab mix, Akita/Shepherd mix, Cane Corso, Chinese Crested and Beagle. They have all overcome their own personal challenges to become competitors or demo dogs for classes and live events.

When not teaching at Wonder Dogs, she can be found hiking with her beagle, riding her horse along the many trails in the Corvallis area, immersing herself in the latin dance scene, training for nosework or freestyle competitions, and tending to her houseplants.

Adam and his 4-year-old terrier mix, Isolde “Izzy”, and his 9-year-old Great Pyrenees Alsundaire “Bear”

Adam Carver Stellmon

Business manager

BFA

Adam joined Wonder Dogs when he realized that getting a dog for his dog wasn’t quite working out how he wanted. Now he’s hooked! Adam helps run the office and support the trainers, ensuring we are always at our best. His warmth and generous personality is an asset to our fear-free and positive-reinforcement-based training facility, where we believe humans deserve the same patience and understanding that we give dogs. Greeting puppies, mediating playtime, and playing with his dogs on the agility equipment are his favorite perks of the job.
